The Barter System

Before Christmas one of my patients offered me a live chicken as a "thank you" for my services. I laughed and asked "What am I suppose to do with it?" They of course responded-"Eat it". And I am sure you can anticipate my response: "But it is ALIVE!"
So when I returned, the chicken was still waiting for me. And this past Monday, I joined in preparing this "gift" for lunch. My granny laughed (lovingly) at my first attempt to sew a skirt, she would have loved to see this! (This is actually the smaller of two we prepared)

Mmmmm, that'd be some good eatin' in Guthrie with some rib sauce!

Hope everyone is well. Taking your Dad to the Vandy-Arkansas b-ball game on March 3. Sorry, gotta root for my Dores!

Give the girls my love.

What a woman!!! I think I could actually lose weight if I had to kill it, pluck it, and cook it!
